Freight Management Associate
Location: Mississauga, Ontario
Type: Full-Time
The Freight Management Associate will be responsible for all transportation to include FTL, LTL, Parcel,
and International. This role supports the global manufacturing and distribution networks
What you will be doing
- Manage transportation functions for inbound and outbound movement of freight. This includes reporting, spend management, carrier management, freight payment, tracking and compliance.
- Manage vendor relationships, KPIs, performance and cost savings initiatives for parcel shipping providers.
- Analyze carrier and vendor performance reporting to identify service issues and determine appropriate actions to address deficiencies
- Manage service agreements and carrier relationships to the standards as defined in the agreements.
- Lead carrier and vendor performance evaluations, quarterly business reviews and trends.
- Lead freight payment and auditing functions
- Ensure strong partnership with US Customs and adherence to all US, Canada, and Mexico regulations for both import and export
- Performs other duties as assigned
About you
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain preferred, or related work experience
- 3+ years of transportation experience; including parcel and global transportation
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Experience working with Domestic and International transportation providers
- Contract negotiation experience with carriers to include setting and upholding KPIs
- Experience working with US Customs
